Things You Should Know About Washing Your Automobiles at Home

There is a lot of difference between RV washing and detailing vs. taking your car for a wash. It is complicated and more specialized task. The dirt and road grime needs to be taken off on a regular basis as a part of proper maintenance and longevity. There are some RV truck stop washes available however they just do not do it in the best way.

RV, small aircrafts and boat washing tasks can be tedious simply because of their huge size. Let us figure out some tips on RV washing and detailing tips that can help you to get the desired results without any hassle:

1. Use proper tools and equipment

You would need proper equipment’s for a better cleaning experience. Make sure you have Long arm and soft flow through brush, proper water blade, microfiber wash mitts, high quality drying towel, RV wax, fiber glass stain remover and roof protective coat.

2. Get on the roof first and then the body

Using the ladder, check the roof first. Make sure there are no leaks on the roof. Rinse the dirt off and then scrub the roof with appropriate cleanser. Make sure you use a soft brush with the right amount of pressure if your RV is painted or has decals on it.

3. Clean the awnings

Open the awnings so that you can easily clean them. Use a scratch free brush, mitt on cloth to work in awnings.

4. Then get on the wheels and Rims

You should ensure that the dirt and remains on the tires are taken off properly. You should check manufacturer instruction to ensure proper cleaning of different types of tires. Some recommend UV protected spray while others recommend using soap and brush.

5. Work in sections

To easily cover all the washing area you should work in either 6ft X 6ft section or in 5ft X 5ft section, followed in a clockwise. This will help you to ensure that no spot remains unattended.
